Canon CanoScan LiDE 25
Our regular readers are familiar with many models of Canon scanners: most of them have already visited our test lab. Except for the CIS sensor-based scanners, which, however, we promised to test at the first opportunity. Such occasion turned up now when we have decided to talk about the low-end models – for obvious reasons, CIS scanners are found only among them. 
Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 is the earliest scanner model of the company, which was the first to have scanning carriage on the basis of the contact sensor. Proprietary technology LiDE (LED Indirect Exposure) provides a resolution of 1200h2400 dpi, which is quite enough to meet most home and office needs. Despite the fact that the CanoScan LiDE 25 is the cheapest model among scanners test participants, this fact does not take from its merits. 
Like all of its counterparts, CanoScan LiDE 25 also has a transport lock, situated at the bottom of the device. This lock ensures scanning carriage from mechanical damage during transportation, so immediately after removal of the scanner from the box (just before the first switch), it must be shifted into the working position.  Download driver for canoscan lide 25 scanner.
